Hair Care Guide
🧼 Washing & Conditioning (Gentle Routine):
- Hair Bundles: Every 5–7 days
- Wigs: Every 7–10 wears
👉 Over-washing can dry out the hair and reduce lifespan. Gently detangle hair before washing. Use lukewarm water (never hot). Apply sulfate-free shampoo. Wash in a downward motion (do not rub or twist). Rinse thoroughly until clean.
💦 Moisturizing & Detangling:
Always use a moisturizing conditioner. Apply from mid-length to ends (avoid roots). Leave for 5–10 minutes for best results
👉 Tip: Use leave-in conditioner to keep hair soft and hydrated.
🪮 3. Detangling Tips
Use a wide-tooth comb. Always detangle from ends to roots. For curly hair: use fingers instead of brush
👉 Never comb hair when it is soaking wet.
🌀4. Drying Your Hair
Air dry naturally (recommended)Steps: Gently pat dry with towel. Place wig on a wig stand. Avoid direct sunlight or heat
👉 Do NOT twist or wring the hair.
🔥 5. Heat Styling
Always use heat protectant. Keep temperature below 350°F / 180°C. Avoid frequent heat styling
👉 Too much heat will shorten hair lifespan.
🌙 6. Daily Maintenance
Wrap hair with silk/satin scarf before sleep. Use light oil or serum on ends. Avoid excessive pulling or tight styling.
📦 7. Storage Tips
When not in use:
Store on a wig stand or mannequin. Keep in a cool, dry place. Avoid plastic bags (need airflow)
⚠️ 8. Things to Avoid
❌ Sulfate & alcohol-based products❌ Sleeping with wet hair❌ Swimming in salt/chlorine water❌ Excessive heat styling❌ Rough brushing or pulling
🧴 Scalp Health:
Keep your scalp clean for healthy braids. Wash your scalp every 1-2 weeks using a sulfate-free shampoo. This helps maintain your braids while keeping your scalp fresh.
💧 Drying:
After washing, gently blot your braids with a towel to remove excess water. Avoid harsh rubbing to prevent frizz and loosening. Let your braids air dry completely. If in a hurry, use a low heat setting on your hairdryer and keep a safe distance.
💦 Moisturizing:
Nourish your scalp regularly to prevent dryness and maintain the appearance of your braids. Use a water-based moisturizer or natural oils like coconut, jojoba, or shea butter. Apply with care to keep your braids neat.
🌙 Bedtime Care:
Protect your braids while sleeping. Use a satin or silk scarf or pillowcase to minimize friction and prevent frizz. This helps your braids look great in the morning.
⏳ Maintenance Routine:
Your boho box braids can last 6-8 weeks, with periodic touch-ups depending on care and hair growth speed. Schedule touch-up sessions to manage frizz, unraveling, and new scalp growth. Avoid exceeding 8 weeks to prevent tangling of natural hair.
🌀 Caring for Human Hair Curls:
Keep your human hair curls tangle-free by gently detangling them with your fingers daily.
Refresh the curls 1-2 times a week by applying a mixture of leave-in conditioner, hair growth oil, or your preferred hair oil with water. Be generous with the application.
Brush out wet curls gently to maintain their shape.
💧 Washing & Conditioning (Gentle Routine):
Use a sulfate‑free shampoo and hydrating conditioner when you wash your crochet hair.
Focus shampoo on your scalp/roots and let the lather run down the hair; avoid scrubbing the length to reduce frizz and shedding.
Wash every 1–2 weeks (or sooner after workouts/swimming) to prevent buildup and dryness.
💦 Moisturizing & Detangling:
Lightly spritz with water + leave‑in conditioner or a light leave‑in mist to keep hair soft.
Detangle with a wide‑tooth comb or fingers — start at the tips and work your way up to prevent breakage.
Avoid heavy oils and thick creams near the roots — they attract dirt and weigh hair down.
🌙 Nighttime Protection:
Wrap hair with a satin or silk scarf/bonnet at night. This reduces friction, frizz, and tangles while you sleep.
Satin pillowcases also help if a scarf isn’t comfortable.
🌀 Refreshing Texture:
For curly or wavy crochet hair, refresh curls daily by misting with water + curl‑defining spray and finger‑shaping.
✂️ Styling & Heat:
If you use heat tools, always use a heat protectant and keep temperatures low. Too much heat can alter your curl pattern and shorten the life of the hair.
💦 After Swimming or Sweat:
Rinse with fresh water and apply a light leave‑in mist before and after to maintain moisture.

What to Expect: Some bright colors like #350, #99J, #Bug, #Blue, #Red, #Pink, etc, may release a small amount of excess dye upon initial use. This is a normal occurrence and nothing to be concerned about.
Our Recommendations:
Color-Setting Rinse: Upon receiving your product, we recommend rinsing it gently under cold water for 1-2 cycles until the water runs clear. This crucial step helps to remove any surface dye and will significantly minimize color transfer during wear.
Styling Attire: On the day you braid and immediately after, to prevent any potential transfer from minimal residual dye mixing with moisture or perspiration, we advise wearing darker colored or color-fast clothing.
After Care: After rinsing, please allow the hair to air dry naturally in a shaded, well-ventilated area.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Your satisfaction is our top priority!
